My Story

As stated before, I was the King’s private investigator.  While the servant, his name is actually Romeo, was away trying to find the "Golden Apple," the King humbly requested that I do a background check on the candidate for his daughter’s hand.  Compiling my data, I came up with a couple of testimonials and background reports on the people and animals that had come into contact with him.  Moreover, I took the liberty of doing some background checks about the White Snake and how my King acquired it as a possession since it had some relevancy.  By the time Romeo had made it back to the Kingdom, I had finished my report that exposed him for the evil man he really is.
But before the King could read it, Romeo intercepted the report somehow.  Instantly, he convinced the guards to throw me into the dungeon, without a trial, and my reputation amongst the public plummeted.  But through some of my old “connections,” I was able to leak parts out of the report to the public.  Romeo may have destroyed the report, but he can’t keep my lips sealed.  Unfortunately, my warnings did not reach my fair King in time and Romeo was able to take the throne.

With his new power, Romeo began preparations to launch a gigantic smear campaign to eliminate my findings as rumors.  Days after the marriage, he invited the famous Grimm Brothers to the Kingdom for the first time.  They were welcomed with a warm reception and treated as royal guests in the palace.  Within 24 hours, word broke out that the Grimm Brothers were there to turn King Romeo’s story into a fairy tale.  In truth, this was all part of Romeo's plan.  By spreading these leeks to get the public excited, everyone forgot about me and the truth I was trying to reveal.  At first there were many skeptics, but the constant media bombardment was too much for them and they eventually fell into his trap.  Moreover, most of the witnesses who gave me their testimonials had been hunted down and permanently silenced.  I lost everything, and for the next ten years I lay in my cell waiting for my time to die.  There was no happy ending to this story.
Or so I thought.  When the former King of Aprok died due to “natural” causes, his final request was to let me out of the dungeon.  No one told the evil King Romeo and by the time he learned what happened, I was long gone.  It was then that I realized my beloved King knew the truth about Romeo and believed that I would deliver the truth to our people.
